|
Marentian Civil War. Dissatisfied with its treatment, the army tries to instate a dictator in Balvine. At first, it appears to succeed. Only the area around Essara remains loyal to Autarch Nimrod III, but he gathers his loyal troops and recapture Balvine using wizardry before the rebels truly organize. Then for a time the rebellion seems defeated as the leaders fight among themselves, but in '65 a strong leader emerges uniting the ranks of the rebels. Nimrod is no general, and can only organize magical raids on the enemy. It is his successor Celestian IV, that from '69 slowly forces the rebels back. Despite much negotiation, the civil war ends in slaughter (the so-called Massacre at Sparkia).

The upshot is that Salakand takes Salona back from Rovia. When the Rovian king Simon Melekit dies in 1088, he is succeeded by the compentent general Tiarz.

Falandrian viking plundering and piracy provokes the Independent City States to block the mouth of Felendar at the city of Dambergard with a primarily Endorian warships. The blockade is lifted after repeated insurances from the Falandrian king.

Ontaine-Pandese war. Ontainian raids are countered by a Pandese punitive mission in the winter of 1094. The Ontainians attempt to strike back in '95 and try to lay siege to Feldenkrak, but the Pandese do not allow them to get close. A cease-fire is negotiated following skirmishes in '96. In '97 Sardis hopes to open a new front by taking the so-called Kirrlar Pass. It is too well defended, and the assault ends in disaster killing the emperor. His brother Milatis VI takes the throne and considers the war over. So it seems, but when Milatis dies in '99, the Ontainians move quickly on Pandesa. The new emperor Hardaukar III drives them out of Eubonia, however.

Salaqi civil war.The Salaqi nobility rebels in an attempt to change the constitution and end the Two Hundred Years War. They name a duke king and are hopeful at first, but by 1100 the holdout is the city of Ployd. It falls in 1102.

The Pandese Emperor Milatis VI is killed in a duel by the Nordacrian Prince Kalil during the siege of Ollyway. Hardaukar III becomes emperor.
